The history of Caymus Vineyards and the Wagner Family of Wines dates back to 1971 when the Wagner family founded the winery in Napa County . Their first vintage, 1972, was a mere 240 cases. Since that humble beginning, wine production has grown a bit (65,000 cases), but they are still family-owned. They now receive regular accolades from Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast & other notable wine critics for all their wines but particularly the Caymus Special Selection Cabernet Sauvignon. Virtually all of these wines are only available to their wine list subscribers, so this is a rare opportunity to enjoy these highly sought after wines, including a Caymus Special Selection.
